VisionSetil — orientación educativa · nunca permiso de consumo

Identify mushrooms in Spain (photo, multi-view)

VisionSetil is an educational study tool. Upload clear views of the gills or pores, profile and stem, base or volva, plus habitat. Identify is in trial and may abstain.

What a photo result cannot do

It cannot grant foraging permission or tell you a wild mushroom is safe to eat. If a risk-critical view is missing, do not infer it from colour or a name.

Open Identify · legal orientation for visitors · death cap study card.

Build a four-view observation record

  • Gills or pores: photograph the underside closely enough to distinguish its structure.
  • Cap and stem: show the full profile; colour changes with light, age and moisture.
  • Base or volva: keep an absent view as missing evidence instead of guessing.
  • Habitat: note substrate, nearby trees, group pattern and season.

What a photo result cannot do

A result can point to a study card or a lookalike pair. It cannot prove a wild mushroom is edible, grant collection permission or replace an expert with the specimen in hand. An abstention means the record is not complete enough for a responsible conclusion.

Frequently asked questions

Can one photo identify a mushroom?
It can start a study search, but it commonly omits structures that matter.
Can a photo result tell me a mushroom is edible?
No. VisionSetil never authorises consumption of wild mushrooms.
What should I do with a high-risk match?
Do not collect or consume it; study the documented pair and seek a competent local expert if needed.
